The quick verdict
Full verdict ↓Great for Children of about 3 to 5 who are learning to name and describe things around the house
Think twice if Your child is already 6 or older: the regular Guess in 10 decks, with 50 cards and written clues, will hold them longer
How we rate it
Learning curve. Pick a tile, ask its question, guess the object, collect 7 cards: Skillmatics says it takes about 5 minutes to learn. 1 on our scale, with UNO and Connect 4; the only skill is listening to the answers and putting them together.
Luck & skill. Which card comes up is luck, and some objects are easier than others. Choosing the tile that rules out the most things, and waiting before guessing, are small choices older children in the range start to make.
Interaction. One player asks, the other answers truthfully, then you swap; there is no blocking or attacking.
Set-up. Shuffle the 35 cards into a pile and lay out the 10 guider tiles where the guesser can reach them. That's all.
Reading. Picture cards and picture tiles; a grown-up reads the English rules once.
Learning curve: 1 = UNO or Connect 4; 3 = Catan; 5 = a heavy strategy game. These describe the experience, not an overall score.
Is Guess in 10 Junior: Inside My House right for you?
Great if
- Children of about 3 to 5 who are learning to name and describe things around the house
- Grandparents and grandchildren, who can ask and answer in any language the family speaks
- Car journeys, train trips and waiting rooms, since it is one small box of cards and tiles
- A return gift or small birthday present for a preschooler
Skip it if
- Your child is already 6 or older: the regular Guess in 10 decks, with 50 cards and written clues, will hold them longer
- You want a game small children can play on their own: a grown-up or older child usually holds the card and answers
- You like to see the full card list or English rules before buying: Skillmatics doesn't publish either online for this deck
How Guess in 10 Junior: Inside My House plays
The box holds 35 picture cards, each showing one thing you might find at home (Skillmatics' pictures show a bathtub, an oven, a sofa, a toaster, a ball and a teddy bear), and 10 guider tiles. Decide who guesses first. The other player, usually a parent in the first few games, draws a card and keeps the picture hidden.
- Time to teach: about 5 minutes.
- Reading and language: Children don't read anything: the cards and the guider tiles are pictures, and the game is all talking. Skillmatics writes its rules in English, so a parent reads them once; after that the questions and answers can be in Hindi, Marathi or whatever the family speaks at home.

The full explanation: how a game of Guess in 10 Junior: Inside My House goes
The guesser picks up a guider tile and asks the question it pictures, one tile for each question. Because the tiles are pictures, a child who can't read yet can still ask. Skillmatics' pictures show tiles such as 'Which room is it found in?' and 'Is it soft or hard?', so answers aren't always a plain yes or no; Skillmatics doesn't list all ten tiles. Every answer the card-holder gives is a clue.
The guesser can name the object at any point, or keep going until all 10 tiles are used. A right answer wins the card; a wrong one sends it to the discard pile. Then the roles swap, and the first player to collect 7 cards wins.
How it differs from the regular Guess in 10, such as the Animal Kingdom deck on our Guess in 10 page: that game is for ages 6 and up, its 50 cards are full of English buzz words, clues, facts and bonus questions, players make up their own yes-or-no questions, and clue cards buy extra help. Junior keeps the limit of 10 questions and the race to 7 cards, but swaps the reading for pictures and lets the tiles suggest what to ask.
An idea for the youngest players: let them take a turn as card-holder too, with a grown-up whispering help, and after each round ask them to point to the real thing somewhere in your home. When the questions start to feel easy, Skillmatics' 6+ decks are the next step.
What's in the box
- 35Game cards
picture cards, each showing one thing found at home - 10Guider tiles
picture tiles that each suggest a question to ask - 1Instruction manual
- 1Storage box
a small box that keeps the cards and tiles together
Box: 18.8 × 15 × 3.9 cm, 0.28 kg. Handy to know for gifting and travel.
Skillmatics' own page for this deck (item SKILL126GJIH) lists 35 game cards, 10 guider tiles and a storage box, and Skillmatics publishes a rules leaflet for it. Some shop listings and Skillmatics' 2021 video description for the Junior range also mention a card holder, but Skillmatics' current pages don't, so we've left it out until a box photo shows one. The 6+ Guess in 10 decks have 50 cards and 6 clue cards instead.

What reviewers and players say
We found no independent written review or forum thread about Inside My House. What we know comes from Skillmatics: a version of Guess in 10 for ages 3 to 6 in which 10 picture tiles help a small child ask about a hidden object from home, with nothing to read. One independent YouTube play guide covers this deck alongside two regular Guess in 10 decks. Expect a short, chatty game for a parent and a preschooler rather than one older children will keep choosing.
What people love
- No reading needed: the picture tiles do the prompting, so a 3-year-old can take a turn
- Everyday objects from home are things small children already know and can talk about
- The same race to 7 cards as the grown-up game, in a small box for trips
- Skillmatics says it takes about 5 minutes to learn
Common complaints
- No independent reviews yet, so it's hard to say how long 35 cards hold a child's interest
- Skillmatics publishes no card list or English rules sheet for this deck online
- With the youngest players, a grown-up has to hold the card and answer

Questions people ask about Guess in 10 Junior: Inside My House
What age is Guess in 10 Junior Inside My House for?
Skillmatics makes it for ages 3 to 6. The cards and guider tiles are pictures, so a child doesn't need to read; at 3, most children will want a grown-up beside them to hold the card and answer.
How is Guess in 10 Junior different from Guess in 10?
Junior is for ages 3 to 6: 35 picture cards and 10 picture guider tiles that suggest what to ask, with nothing to read. The regular Guess in 10 decks are for 6 and up (some 8 and up), with 50 cards of English clues, clue cards and bonus questions, and players think up their own yes-or-no questions. Both give you up to 10 questions per card, and the first to collect 7 cards wins.
What is in the Inside My House deck?
35 picture cards of things you'd find at home, plus 10 guider tiles, in a small box. Skillmatics' pictures show a bathtub, an oven, a sofa, a toaster, a ball and a teddy bear, but it doesn't publish the full list.
How many people can play Guess in 10 Junior?
Two to six. With a young child it works best as one grown-up and one or two children; bigger groups can split into two teams.
Is Guess in 10 Junior Inside My House made in India?
Yes. Skillmatics' own photo of the box back reads 'Made in India', with the product code SKILL126GJIH and Grasper Global Private Limited, Mumbai, Skillmatics' company, as the maker.
