The quick verdict
Full verdict ↓Great for Children of 3 to 6 who can't sit still for a board game
Think twice if You want a game played sitting at a table
How we rate it
Learning curve. Hear a prompt, go and find something that fits: a three-year-old gets it straight away with an adult's help, so it sits at 1 with Smart Sticks Scavenger Hunt.
Luck & skill. Which card comes up, and what happens to be lying nearby, is luck; quick thinking and knowing the house do the rest.
Interaction. Children race to find a match for the same card, but nobody blocks anyone else.
Set-up. Unclip the cards, agree which rooms or which part of the park are in play, and read out the first card.
Reading. Each card has a short English prompt and hint questions, which an adult reads to young children.
Learning curve: 1 = UNO or Connect 4; 3 = Catan; 5 = a heavy strategy game. These describe the experience, not an overall score.
Is Find Me right for you?
Great if
- Children of 3 to 6 who can't sit still for a board game
- Rainy days and school holidays at home, when everyone needs to move
- Holidays, picnics and visits to family: the cards clip together and pack small
- Building words: children explain why the thing they found fits the card
Skip it if
- You want a game played sitting at a table
- No adult is free to read the cards and keep an eye on the hunt
- Your children are 8 or older and want a harder challenge
How Find Me plays
Find Me is a pack of 60 hunt cards held on a clip, with a game manual. Each card names something to look for, such as something that gives light, something you can count or something that starts with the letter B. Many cards add hint questions to help a child who is stuck, such as 'Can you turn it on and off?' and 'Where do you usually see it?'
- Time to teach: about 2 minutes.
- Reading and language: Each card has a short English prompt and hint questions. Children of 3 to 5 need an adult to read them out, and the prompts are easy to say in Hindi or any home language.
A turn, step by step
- 1Draw
Take a hunt card and read it out, with its hint questions if needed.
- 2Hunt
Everyone searches nearby for something that fits the card.
- 3Show
Bring it back or point to it, and say why it fits.
- 4Win
The manual's three modes set how a round is won; in a simple race, first back with a good match keeps the card.
The full explanation: how a game of Find Me goes
The basic game: an adult reads out a card and the children go off to find something nearby that fits, then bring it back or point to it and say why it fits. A torch or a lamp would do for something that gives light. With a three-year-old, one card at a time and plenty of help is enough.
The box offers three modes, called Fast, First and Super FIT. GiniMini's web page doesn't explain them, so follow the manual in the box. If you just want a quick race, give the card to the first child who brings back a good match, and the child with the most cards at the end wins.
The box suggests playing indoors or on the move, solo or in a group. Because the cards are reusable, every new room, garden or holiday spot gives new answers, and older brothers and sisters can take turns reading the cards.
Set a few ground rules before a hunt: no climbing, nothing breakable, and no-go places such as the kitchen counter, the stairs or the balcony. Outdoors, keep the youngest in sight and let them point to things rather than pick them up.

What reviewers and players say
We found no independent reviews, blog posts, videos or forum threads about Find Me, so this rests on GiniMini's own page and pictures. On paper it turns the classic scavenger hunt into a ready-made card game for very young children: each card gives a simple thing to find, and the hint questions help a three- or four-year-old work out what might fit. It gets children moving and talking, and the clip and small box make it easy to take on holiday. The three modes are explained only in the manual, so expect to read it before the first game.

Questions people ask about Find Me
How do you play GiniMini Find Me?
An adult reads out a hunt card, such as something that gives light, and the children search nearby for something that fits, then show it and say why. The hint questions on the cards help a stuck child, and the manual in the box explains the three modes, Fast, First and Super FIT.
What age is Find Me for?
GiniMini says 3 and up. Three- and four-year-olds need an adult to read the cards and help with the hints; children of about 5 to 7 can race each other.
How is Find Me different from Smart Sticks Scavenger Hunt?
Smart Sticks, for 5 and up, uses 50 double-sided sticks in a tube, with a describing word such as red or pointed on each side. Find Me, for 3 and up, has 60 cards on a clip, each with a short prompt and hint questions, and three named modes.
Can Find Me be played outdoors or while travelling?
Yes. GiniMini says it can be played indoors or on the move, solo or in a group, and the cards clip together in a small, light box. A park, a beach or a relative's house gives new things to find.
Is Find Me made in India?
Yes. GiniMini's own picture of the box back prints 'Made in India', beside the details of Riseom Solutions Private Limited, the Indore company behind GiniMini.
