The quick verdict
Full verdict ↓Great for Children of 4 to 7 who love spotting games
Think twice if You need a game for more than four players; Dobble takes up to eight
How we rate it
Learning curve. Flip, spot, place, ring: a four-year-old gets it after one card, so it sits with Dobble Kids at 1.
Luck & skill. Which card comes up is luck; quick eyes and hands decide almost everything else.
Interaction. Everyone races for the same board and the same bell on every card.
Set-up. Open the board, put the bell in the middle, share out the pawns and stack the shuffled cards face down.
Reading. Pictures only, on the cards and the board.
Learning curve: 1 = UNO or Connect 4; 3 = Catan; 5 = a heavy strategy game. These describe the experience, not an overall score.
Is Snap Match Grande right for you?
Great if
- Children of 4 to 7 who love spotting games
- Grandparents and parents playing with little ones: there is nothing to read
- Settling 'I saw it first!' arguments: the bell decides who was quickest
- Siblings and cousins of different ages, since sharp eyes matter more than age
Skip it if
- You need a game for more than four players; Dobble takes up to eight
- There are toddlers around: the pawns are small
- Your children are older and want more than a speed race
How Snap Match Grande plays
Open the board in the middle of the table where everyone can see it, put the bell within reach of all the players and share out the 32 pawns. Shuffle the 55 cards and stack them face down. Each card shows a set of pictures, and the board is printed with pictures too.
- Time to teach: about 2 minutes.
- Reading and language: Nothing to read: the cards and the board are pictures, so children can name what they spot in any language.

A turn, step by step
- 1Flip
Turn over the top card so everyone can see its pictures.
- 2Spot
Race to find one of the card's pictures on the board, put your pawn on it and ring the bell.
- 3Win
Keep going card after card: the player who gets their pawns onto the board fastest wins.
The full explanation: how a game of Snap Match Grande goes
Turn over the top card. Everyone looks at the same time for a picture on the card that is also on the board. The first player to spot a match puts one of their pawns on that picture on the board and rings the bell. Then the next card is turned over and the race starts again.
Clapjoy sums it up as match the patterns, place your pawns faster than your opponents and ring the bell to win: the player who gets their pawns onto the board fastest wins. Check the rule sheet in the box for exactly when the game ends, and agree beforehand what happens if two children hit the bell together (replay the card, or let the younger child go first).
With 4-year-olds, an adult can turn the cards, point out a match if a child is stuck and keep the bell from becoming the whole game. Older children can play fast and strict: a wrong pawn goes back and that player misses the next card.
If you know Dobble: Snap Match Grande uses the same kind of picture cards, but you never compare two cards. You match one card against the printed board, claim the spot with a pawn and ring a bell, which makes it easier for very young children to see who won. It is for 2 to 4 players, where Dobble and Dobble Kids take up to 8. Clapjoy also sells a separate Snap Match card game, with 55 cards and a sand timer but no board, pawns or bell; this page is only about Grande.

What reviewers and players say
We found no independent reviews, blog posts or forum threads about Snap Match Grande, so this rests on Clapjoy's own pages, pictures and videos. On paper it takes the spot-the-picture idea that children know from Dobble and makes it easier to judge: a card is matched against a big board, a pawn marks the spot and a bell settles who was first. That should suit preschoolers who struggle to compare two small cards, though older children may find it simple. The maker's text doesn't spell out how a game ends, so check the rules in the box first.

- The bell gives a clear winner for every card, with fewer arguments
- Quick to set up and quick to play
- Pawns on the board show at a glance who is ahead
Common complaints
- Only up to four players
- Small pawns need watching around toddlers
- The maker's written rules are thin; no independent reviews yet

Questions people ask about Snap Match Grande
How is Snap Match Grande different from Dobble?
Dobble is a card game: you compare two round cards and shout the one picture they share. In Snap Match Grande you match a card against a printed board, put a pawn on the picture and ring a bell, which young children find easier to follow. Grande is for 2 to 4 players; Dobble takes up to 8.
What age is Snap Match Grande for?
Clapjoy says 4 and up, and there is nothing to read. The pawns are small, so keep them away from children under 3 who might put them in their mouths.
Is Snap Match Grande the same as Clapjoy's Snap Match card game?
No. The Snap Match card game has 55 cards and a sand timer, and you try to build a chain of four same-coloured cards, for ages 6 and up. Grande adds a board, 32 pawns and a bell and is made for younger children from 4.
How many can play Snap Match Grande?
Two to four players. With more children, play in teams of two that share a set of pawns, or take turns playing the winner.
Is Snap Match Grande made in India?
Clapjoy, an Indian toy company with addresses in Faridabad and Sahibabad, marks it Made in India on its own shop and says all its toys are BIS certified. There is only one edition, sold in Clapjoy's own box.
