The quick verdict
Full verdict ↓Great for Children of about 6 to 10 who have outgrown simple pairs games
Think twice if Your child is under 6: the orders and scoring are more to keep track of than a pairs game
How we rate it
Learning curve. Turn over a card, remember it, complete orders: there are a few more parts than in a pairs game, but no more rules than UNO, so it sits at 1 on our scale.
Luck & skill. Which ingredients and orders come up is luck, but remembering where cards are decides who completes orders first.
Interaction. Everyone chases the same face-up orders, and every card someone turns over helps the other players too.
Set-up. Lay out the four-by-four grid of ingredient cards face down, five order cards and three Special Requests above it, and give each player a shop window board and tokens.
Reading. Matching is done by sight; the rules sheet is the only real reading, and counting the money at the end needs simple adding.
Learning curve: 1 = UNO or Connect 4; 3 = Catan; 5 = a heavy strategy game. These describe the experience, not an overall score.
Is Lookie Cookie right for you?
Great if
- Children of about 6 to 10 who have outgrown simple pairs games
- Practising visual memory, focus and simple adding when the money is counted at the end
- Two siblings or a family of four, in about 20 minutes
- A birthday or return gift with a cheerful baking theme
Skip it if
- Your child is under 6: the orders and scoring are more to keep track of than a pairs game
- You want a game with no luck: which ingredients and orders turn up next is chance
- You need a game for more than four players
How Lookie Cookie plays
Set-up: lay 16 ingredient cards face down in a four-by-four grid, the pantry. Above it, put five cookie order cards face up, and above those three Special Requests cards. Each player takes a shop window board and a set of tokens in one colour.
- Time to teach: about 10 minutes.
- Reading and language: Play is about spotting and matching ingredients by sight, and the score is counted as money, so the only real reading is the rules sheet, which is in English. Children can name the ingredients in Hindi or whatever language the family uses.
A turn, step by step
- 1Flip
Turn over one ingredient card from the face-down grid, look at it and turn it back.
- 2Remember
Watch every player's turn so you know where each ingredient is hiding.
- 3Bake
Turn up the ingredients an order needs to complete it, and put the order card in your shop window.
- 4Win
The first to sell six cookies ends the game; the player with the most money wins.
The full explanation: how a game of Lookie Cookie goes
A turn: turn over one ingredient card, look at it and turn it face down again. Everyone else sees it too, so as the game goes on all the players build up a picture of where each ingredient is hiding. When you correctly turn up the ingredients that an order asks for, you complete that order: take the order card, put it in your shop window, and replace the ingredient cards you used with new ones.
Extras: your tokens give you a little help along the way (the rules sheet explains how), and a Special Request you fulfil is kept and scored at the end of the game.
Winning: the first player to sell six cookies triggers the end of the game. Everyone then counts up their points, which the game calls money, and the player with the most money wins.
For parents: a 6-year-old can take turns alone after a round or two, but a grown-up helps at first with laying out and refilling the grid and counting the money at the end. Younger brothers and sisters can play as a team with an adult.

What reviewers and players say
We found no independent reviews, parent blogs, videos or forum threads about Lookie Cookie, which Binca brought out in 2025, so this page rests on Binca Games' own product page and pictures. On paper it is a step up from the classic pairs game: the hidden grid still tests memory, but orders, special requests and money give children of 6 to 10 something to aim for. Expect a grown-up to help with the set-up and scoring the first few times.
What people love
- A cheerful baking theme with a pop-up cookie market story
- A step up from pairs games, with orders to complete and money to count
- Short games of about 20 minutes
- Matching is done by sight, so there is almost nothing to read during play
Common complaints
- More pieces to lay out and refill than a simple memory game
- Some details (what the tokens do, how much each order is worth) are only on the rules sheet in the box
- Luck decides which ingredients and orders turn up
